The summer break is finally over and the ADAC GT4 Germany is back at the Nürburgring. ME Motorsport from Schwäbisch Gmünd will start as usual with two BMW M4 GT4s in the top-class German GT4 racing series, which will be racing in the DTM environment. The vehicles are controlled by team owner Markus Eichele and Philip Wiskirchen as well as Andreas Jochimsen and Motorsport Team Germany sponsor pilot Thomas Rackl.
After a difficult weekend at the Norisring, ME Motorsport is now looking to bounce back in the Eifel. Eichele and Wiskirchen dropped out of both races on the street circuit in the Franconian metropolis of Nuremberg following an accident and a collision. Rackl and his Scandinavian partner Jochimsen scored points in both races, but a time penalty in the first race prevented a better result.
Before the start of the second half of the season, Andreas Jochimsen and Thomas Rackl are tenth in the overall standings of the ADAC GT4 Germany — their teammates follow in 17th position. In the junior classification, Rackl is in sixth place, while team owner Eichele is in third position in the trophy classification. ME Motorsport is in eighth place in the team standings.
ME Motorsport is well prepared for the ADAC GT4 Germany race weekend. In preparation for the races in the Eifel, the team completed an intensive test weekend at the GTC Race at the Nürburgring, which included the first pole position in the team's history.
“We are looking forward to the start of the second half of the ADAC GT4 Germany season! “, says Markus Eichele full of anticipation. “We hope that we can forget the difficult weekend at the Norisring and build on the good performances from Oschersleben and Lausitzring. In addition, the GTC Race weekend at the Nürburgring and most recently in Hockenheim went very well for the team, and we want to build on that as well. ”
The two ADAC GT4 Germany races start on Saturday and Sunday at 3:15 p.m. Fans can watch the two scoring rounds on German free TV on Sport 1, and the ADAC will also broadcast the races in an official live stream on YouTube. The two qualifying sessions on Saturday morning from 8:35 will also be broadcasted there.
