After a strong performance in the ADAC GT4 Germany at the Nürburgring, ME Motorsport continues in the GTC Race. The fourth race weekend of the racing series takes place on the legendary Ardennes rollercoaster in Spa-Francorchamps, Belgium, where the GTC Rac is making a guest appearance for the first time since 2015. ME Motorsport from Schwäbisch Gmünd will be launching a BMW M4 GT4.
The car is driven by the driver duo Linus Hahne and Philip Wiskirchen in the one-hour GT60 powered by Pirelli. There are two half-hour sprint races on Sunday, of which Hahne and team owner Markus Eichele will each race.
After three out of five race weekends, Hahne and Wiskirchen are in second and third places in the GT4 classification of the GT60 powered by Pirelli. ADAC Touring Car Junior Cup newcomer Linus Hahne also holds fourth championship position in the GT4 standings of the GT Sprint races.
“The fact that we are occupying a car with three drivers certainly sounds a bit complicated to some,” laughs team owner Markus Eichele. “Linus and Philip will be contesting the GT60 together as they are in second and third place in the championship and will therefore fight for a good finish. It is logical that Linus is racing in a GT Sprint race, as he is fighting for his place in the support squad of the racing series. And I personally have never driven in Spa-Francorchamps, but this has always been a dream of mine and I would like to check this route off my personal bucket list. ”
On Saturday at 4:30pm, the one-hour GT60 powered by Pirelli race starts on the Belgian GP circuit. The two half-hour GT Sprint races start on Sunday at 10:35 a.m. and at 3:35 p.m. on the 7.004 kilometer long race track. All races can be followed on the official live stream on YouTube.
