Lausitzring GT4 Germany preview

ME Motorsport is ready for the second ADAC GT4 Germany race weekend at the DEKRA Lausitzring.

ME Motorsport is traveling to the DEKRA Lausitzring full of anticipation. The second race weekend of the 2024 ADAC GT4 Germany season will take place on the track between Berlin and Dresden, which opened in 2000. As usual, ME Motorsport will start two BMW M4 GT4s in Brandenburg, which will be driven by Markus Eichele and Philip Wiskirchen as well as Andreas Jochimsen and Thomas Rackl.

At Motorsport Arena Oschersleben, the team had a satisfactory start to the season in the top-class ADAC GT4 championship on the last weekend in April. Jochimsen and Motorsport Team Germany Sponsor Pilot Rackl finished the races in ninth and twelfth places. Team owner Eichele and his partner Wiskirchen were eliminated in the first race but finished in a strong seventh position on Sunday, which was synonymous with second place in the trophy standings.

“Our speed at the start of the season in Oschersleben was very promising for us! “, summarizes Markus Eichele ahead of the second event of the season. “At the Lausitzring, we want to establish ourselves in the top 10 positions and take the next step. We have analysed our weak points from the first event and are now doing everything we can to stop them in Lusatia. ”

On the DEKRA Lausitzring, the ADAC GT4 Germany uses the 3.478 kilometers long short connection. The track is characterized by two long straights and a tight infield. In addition, the oval course, of which the short connection uses sections, shapes the visual appearance of the racetrack.

The two one-hour ADAC GT4 Germany races will start on Saturday at 14:15 and on Sunday at 15:15. SPORT1 will broadcast both races live on free TV. The ADAC also provides a live stream on YouTube.
