ME Motorsport is ready for the second full season in the ADAC GT4 Germany. The racing team from Schwäbisch Gmünd will use two BMW M4 GT4 EVO cars in the highly competitive ADAC GT4 racing series. Team Principal Markus Eichele, who took the wheel himself last year, will focus on the role of team boss in the ADAC GT4 Germany this year.
After two years of use, BMW engineers reworked the M4 GT4. The development of the successful model focused particularly on the areas of reliability and driveability. But work was also being done on the performance of the popular customer racing model. ME Motorsport will gain initial experience with the new emergency vehicle during extensive test drives in Barcelona in mid-March.
Philip Wiskirchen and Tim Reiter take turns at the wheel of the BMW with start number #66. While Wiskirchen is in his third season with the racing team and has already competed for ME Motorsport in the GTC Race and the ADAC GT4 Germany, Tim Reiter is new to the line-up. But the 25-year-old from Ostfildern brings a lot of GT4 experience to the team. Reiter has been active in GT4 racing since 2019 and has been driving in the ADAC GT4 Germany since 2021, which he finished ninth in the championship last year.
Thomas Rackl and Linus Hahne will start in the sister car with start number #77. The two talented youngsters are each entering their second season with the team. While ADAC Stiftung Sport-Förderpilot Rackl already competed with ME Motorsport in the ADAC GT4 Germany last year, Hahne drove in the GTC Race in 2024. The newcomer from the ADAC Touring Car Junior Cup continued to improve over the course of the season.
“It hurts a bit that I'm no longer taking the wheel myself in the ADAC GT4 Germany,” says team owner Markus Eichele. “But I'm proud of our two driver duos! With Tim Reiter, we are bringing a lot of GT4 experience to our team! Linus, Philip and Thomas have also already been able to demonstrate their talent and we are delighted that we can continue working with them! I am sure that we will fight for the top places in the junior standings and that we will also surprise you in the overall standings! ”
This year's ADAC GT4 Germany season starts on the last weekend in April in Oschersleben, before the season highlight takes place at the Norisring at the beginning of July. After six race weekends, the season comes to an end in Hockenheim at the beginning of October. The start at the Sachsenring will be a first for ME Motorsport — the mountain and valley track near Chemnitz returns to the championship race calendar this year. Two races are held over one hour each race weekend.
In addition to the program in the ADAC GT4 Germany, ME Motorsport is also starting on the Nürburgring-Nordschleife this year. The racing team will take part in the 24h race at the Nürburgring with the GT4 racing car and in preparation for the ADAC 24h Qualifiers. ME Motorsport still has a driver's seat available to start in the classic endurance race.
